Lincoln accident puts two women in the hospital, one man arrested

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Lincoln accident resulted in one man being arrested and two women taken to the hospital.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers, along with Lincoln Fire and Rescue, were sent to S 84th St. and Nebraska Parkway on Dec. 2 around 11:45 p.m. for a reported injury accident.
Officers said they determined that a 24-year-old woman was driving a 2019 Honda HR-V with a 23-year-old female passenger north on S 84th St. and was reportedly turning left onto Nebraska Parkway.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Reuben Linton was driving a 2016 Dodge Challenger and was traveling south on S 84th St. Linton reportedly went straight through the intersection of S 84th St. and Nebraska Parkway, colliding with the Honda.
Officials said the 24-year-old woman had life-threatening injuries while the 23-year-old passenger also had serious injuries but they were reportedly considered non-life-threatening. Both women were taken to a nearby hospital.
LPD said Linton did not have any injuries and was arrested for DUI and driving during suspension. The accident is undergoing investigation.
