LPD: officers find almost two lbs. of meth, two men arrested following search warrant
Authorities in the Lincoln area arrested two men following a search warrant that was issued as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities in the Lincoln area arrested two men following a search warrant that was issued as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The Lincoln Police Department said that on Wednesday evening around 8:30, the Lincoln Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force had interaction with 37-year-old Victor Gonzales and 43-year-old Robert Walkingbull.
LPD said Gonzales and Walkingbull were in a vehicle in front of a residence near 13th and Washington. At the time, officers said they were serving a search warrant as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Authorities said that Walkingbull was found to have a loaded, .45 caliber handgun in his pocket, two fentanyl pills and 6.9 grams of methamphetamine; and Gonzales was found to have $240 in US money.
Officials reported that inside the vehicle, officers found 700.6 grams (1.5 lbs.) of meth; and inside the residence officers found a .223 caliber rifle with a bump-stock, numerous .223, .45 and 9mm rounds, 59.6 grams of meth, drug paraphernalia, a ballistic vest and a money counter.
LPD said Gonzales was arrested of possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of a firearm with a drug violation, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of money while violating 28-416.
The Police Department said Walkingbull was arrested for possession with intent to deliver a hazardous drug, possession of a firearm with a drug violation, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a controlled substance.
