Lincoln elementary school reportedly vandalized

An elementary school in Lincoln reported damage was done to a window, possibly with a BB gun.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- An elementary school in Lincoln reported damage was done to a window, possibly with a BB gun.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers responded to a vandalism report at Brownell Elementary School, 6000 Aylesworth, around 6:10 p.m. on Nov. 7.

Officials said an employee told them that they found a window on the west side of the building had damage to it. The damage is reportedly consistent with a BB gun. The estimated damage is $700.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can call LPD at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
