Man and woman held at gunpoint in Lincoln robbery

A man and woman were reportedly robbed in Lincoln after two men pointed guns at them.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man and woman were reportedly robbed in Lincoln after two men pointed guns at them.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the 700 block of Belmont on Monday around 9:20 p.m. for a reported robbery.

Officers said they talked to a man and woman, both 21-years-old, and the victims told officer they were sitting in the driveway by a firepit. Two unknown men reportedly came up to them from the sidewalk.

According to authorities, they woman said the two men were wearing masks and thought they were dressed up for Halloween. The two men then reportedly pulled out handguns and told the victims to give hand over their belongings.

Officials said the male victim gave them his wallet that had $100 in cash inside and the suspects then left the area on foot.
