Multiple gunshots in several different areas reported in Lincoln

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating multiple calls of gunfire from different locations but all around the same time.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department is investigating multiple calls of gunfire from different locations but all around the same time.

LPD said they received numerous calls at 3:00 a.m. on Monday from different callers that reported hearing gunshots in the area of 28th to 30th St. and Merrill to Potter St.

Officials said six minutes after the first call, officers that were investigating a separate crime reportedly heard multiple gunshots coming from the area of 51st St. and Madison St.

According to authorities, several 911 calls started coming in for another shooting that was taking place in the area of 48th St. and Cleveland to 62nd St. and Colfax.

Officers said they found several shell casings in the area of the second reported gunshot call but located no shell casings at the first scene. The was no damage reported or discovered at this time.
