Doane Athletics partnering with Opendorse for NIL opportunities
CRETE, NE — Doane University Athletics has partnered with Opendorse, the leading name, image, and likeness (NIL) marketplace for college student-athletes.

CRETE, NE — Doane University Athletics has partnered with Opendorse, the leading name, image, and likeness (NIL) marketplace for college student-athletes. In creating a platform for Doane student-athletes, the student-athlete will be able to connect with local and national businesses, Tiger supporters, and potentially national brands.
Doane is the first Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) school to partner with Opendorse.
As with all NIL opportunities, it is on the student-athletes to pursue these ventures and Opendorse will provide a platform to help Tiger student-athletes remain compliant with NAIA guidelines. Opendorse will provide resources, necessary tax documentation, and social media audits. Doane student-athletes also have access to the Opendorse marketplace where businesses and supporters can provide partnership opportunities and complete payments.
"We (Doane) have been wanting to find the best way to help our student-athletes maneuver through this newest opportunity in Name, Image, and Likeness," Doane Assistant Athletic Director for Athletics Communication Rick Schmuecker said. "Opendorse provides some significant advantages as being the frontrunner in NIL. The ability for everything to be maintained in one location to help meet NAIA guidelines was important in this venture."
Doane student-athletes are encouraged to sign-up by downloading the Opendorse app or going to opendorse.com. For Doane student-athletes who previously set up an Opendorse account, they should ensure that their page is connected to the University. Supporters can also join the marketplace by going on-line to create opportunities.
More information will be made available at doaneathletics.com in the coming weeks as well.
Opendorse is the exclusive NIL partner of the NAIA, offering NAIA education and services to all NAIA member institutions and student-athletes.
