LINCOLN, Neb. -- Multiple items stolen in burglary early Sunday morning in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said police were dispatched to the Devall Insurance Agency, 2152 S 56th, for a reported burglary at 5:56 a.m.

Officers said they made contact with the owner who reported two separate burglaries over the weekend.

The report said the first reported incident happened on July 22 at 11:46 p.m. when an unknown person approached the business from the alley. They forced entry through the back door but the office area is not accessible from that entry point so they left without taking any items.

Officials said on July 24 at 12:34 a.m., a person, who appeared to be the same as before, approached from the alley again but broke out a window on the porch in order to enter the office space.

According to authorities, the owner identified a 1997 Orange Bowl Commemorative watch, a Tom Osborne signed mini helmet, and an acoustic guitar among the missing items.

LPD said the estimated damage to the door and window is $200 and the estimated value of the stolen items is $570.

The investigation is ongoing.
