BEATRICE - The roar of the engines will fill the southeast Nebraska air on Friday night in Beatrice.

Despite some area tracks cancelling and making schedule changes to account for high temperatures, everything is set to take place as scheduled at Beatrice Speedway on Friday night. This weeks event is one week away from the Gage County Fair and features IMCA Modified's, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Sport Modified's and Sport Compacts.

One of the main things to watch this weekend is the points battle in the Modified series as Johnny Saathoff now sits just six points back from Jordan Grabouski after his win a week ago. Grabouski also leads the track standings in the stock car series.

Hot laps begin at 7:00 pm Friday with heat races at 7:30.
