A southeast Nebraska-based summer softball league recently held its tournaments to name its five division winners.

The FUNFRALL Softball League crowned its 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u and 18u for the 2022 season in tourneys across the region.

Exeter-Milligan took home the 8u championship with Geneva Purple finishing as runners-ups. Friend's 8u team claimed the bronze.

DeWitt earned two championships this year — one in 10u and the other in 12u. Friend finished second place in 10u and McCool took home third. Runners-up in 12u was Plymouth and Wilber earned the 12u bronze.

Plymouth claimed the 14u championship with Friend and DeWitt finishing second and third, respectively.

In the 18u division, Meridian won the tournament championship with BDS finishing second. Deshler took home third place.

In addition to the local tournaments, the Meridian and BDS 18u teams and Plymouth 14u squad earned spots in their respective state tournaments, which will take place this weekend in Hastings.

The FUNFRALL League consists of 11 communities and over 50 teams. Participating towns include Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Deshler, DeWitt, Dorchester, Exeter-Milligan, Friend, Geneva, Meridian, Plymouth, Wilber and McCool.
