LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man wanted on weapons and drug-related warrants was arrested Wednesday afternoon with the help of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Tactical Response Unit, Lincoln Police and U.S. Marshals.
There is still a heavy law enforcement presence just northwest of N 1st Street and Cornhusker Highway in Lincoln but the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the “incident was resolved safely”.
Around 1 p.m., LSO said a fugitive had barricaded himself in a home in the 300 block of Alexander Drive.
A 10/11 reporter on the scene said one person has been taken into custody, but authorities are still asking residents to exit a trailer.
