LPD: Man arrested after threats toward father, children

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities in the metro area were called for a report of threats to a man and his children.
The Lincoln Police Department was called around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to the area of N 21st and O Streets on a report of threats.
LPD officers said they had contact with a 36-year-old victim who reported he was walking with his children ages 5, 6, and 12 through the Antelope Creek Recreation Area.
Officials said that the victim reported they were walking under a bridge when they were confronted by 48-year-old Randal Gordon.
Authorities said that the victim reported that Gordon was about 15 yards away, armed with a knife, and yelling at the victim and his children.
Allegedly, the victim left the area with his family and contacted police.
LPD said that officers found Gordon under the bridge.
It was reported that Gordon was found to match the description provided by the victim and a folding knife was located on his person.
LPD said the responding officers believed Gordon was highly intoxicated and he was lodged in jail for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
