Fairbury lifts burn ban at Crystal Springs

FAIRBURY, NE — After being in place for over a week, the City of Fairbury lifted its open burn ban at Crystal Springs Wednesday.

FAIRBURY, NE — After being in place for over a week, the City of Fairbury lifted its open burn ban at Crystal Springs Wednesday.

The ban was put in place April 25, at the request of local volunteer fire departments. The week prior to that, volunteer fire departments spent many hours battling grass fires.

Since the ban was put in place, the area has seen significant rainfall to bring some relief to the area. 

This includes both the park at campground at Crystal Springs.
