Mak Hatcliff wins GPAC Freshman of the Year

Doane Tiger Mak Hatcliff has been given some major freshman honors.

CRETE - Doane Tiger Mak Hatcliff has been given some major freshman honors. 

The former Beatrice Lady Orange turned Doane tiger is the 2022 GPAC Women's Basketball Freshman of the year. Hatcliff was dominant from the minute she stepped on campus, racking up multiple freshman and player of the week honors throughout the season. 

Hatcliff averaged 24.2 points per game, ranking first in the GPAC and fourth in NAIA. In addition, she became the first true freshman to lead GPAC women's basketball in scoring, while also leading the conference with 2.8 steals per game. 

Hatcliff also ranked eighth in field goal percentage and fourth in rebounds per game.
