Searches conducted in two Gage County villages, two arrested
BEATRICE – Search warrants served in two Gage County communities Friday, resulted in arrests of two people. Gage County Sheriff’s officers were assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol.
Gage County law officers say one of the warrants was served at a home in Blue Springs at 7:10 a.m. Authorities went to a residence on West Fouts Street, locating a meth pipe, several syringes and a knife with a blade of about nine-and-a-half inches. Authorities arrested 43-year-old Ryan Holtsclaw on suspicion of drug possession and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
Deputies said Holtsclaw is a convicted felon, barred from possessing deadly weapons.
A second search warrant was served at a 2nd Avenue residence in Virginia, Nebraska….where authorities located a meth pipe, numerous syringes, a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and items law officers said were related to meth distribution.
Authorities arrested 59-year-old Garth Ruh for possession with intent to distribute illegal drugs, drug possession and other violations.
Gage County law officers say the two searches were the result of unrelated investigations and not connected with one another.
