Beatrice, Norris split Tuesday doubleheader

In one of the biggest rivalries in Class-B, both teams are heading home with one win a side.

BEATRICE - In one of the biggest rivalries in Class-B, both teams are heading home with one win a side. 

The Lady Orange went into Tuesday night's tilt with Norris on a six game win streak, fresh off their Trailblazer Conference Tournament Championship. Meanwhile, Norris (14-2) had just suffered their second loss of the year to Elkhorn North. Norris would gain win number on the year over Beatrice on Tuesday, downing the Lady O 47-38. 

Norris led by eight at the half, and controlled the game leading by about 7-9 the whole way. Beatrice was led in scoring by Addie Hatcliff with 11, Norris by Sydney Jelenik, also with 11. 

Beatrice fell to 10-3 with the loss, Norris is now 15-2.

The Orangemen came into the game looking to avoid their first three game losing streak of the year, and they did just that. Beatrice took care of Norris 46-31, particularly in the second half. Beatrice got out to a hot start from long range, Elliot Jurgens knocked down two from NBA distance. 

Jurgens led all scorers with 21. Beatrice improved to 11-4 on the year, Norris fell to 7-11.
