OPD officer arrested for domestic disturbance

An Omaha Police Officer is facing charges after a domestic disturbance.

An Omaha Police Officer is facing charges after a domestic disturbance. 

Omaha Police say they are investigating a domestic violence disturbance early Sunday morning at a home on Laurel Avenue. 

Officers spoke with the female victim who had injuries to her head and face. 

The victim identified the suspect as her girlfriend, Brittney Taylor, who is an Omaha Police Officer.

Taylor was later found and arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence assault. 

She has been placed on administrative leave and an internal investigation is ongoing.
