30 lbs of marijuana, 10 lbs. of fentanyl discovered in Seward County traffic stop

SEWARD, Neb. -- Authorities in southeastern Nebraska seized dozens of pounds of marijuana and fentanyl during a traffic stop on Interstate 80.

The Seward County Sheriff's Office says the stop happened last week on I-80 near the Seward exit.

Authorities say they became suspicious of a car loaded on a car hauler, and after further inspection, they found three tires with contraband hidden inside.

The Sheriff's Office says 30 lbs. of marijuana and 10 lbs. of fentanyl were found inside the tires.

A follow-up investigation led to the arrest of three people in Ohio and led to the seizure of $25,000 and a firearm.
