BEATRICE – Beatrice Police had three contacts Sunday with a man who made threats toward officers, eventually arresting him last night when police were summoned to a Cheyenne Drive residence.

37-year-old Quentin Erks was arrested for disturbing the peace and felony resisting arrest.

At around 11:17 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated male. While enroute, a 911 call was received by Southeast Communications dispatch center from a resident along Cheyenne Drive who said a man had busted in the front door of the home, was causing a disturbance and took alcohol from the refrigerator.

Arriving officers found a man they identified as Erks on the front porch, visibly intoxicated and verbally non-compliant.

Police detained Erks and while attempting to place him in a patrol car, encountered resistance.  Police administered a Taser drive-stun to aid in securing the suspect.

Police said Erks continued to physically resist, after being taken to the Gage County Jail.  Police said Erks had a prior conviction for resisting arrest in February, 2011.
