LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln's mask mandate is being extended.

Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird announced Tuesday that the city's directed health measure will continue through October 28th.

Lancaster County Health Officials say they're seeing about 90 new cases of COVID-19 per day. That's down 35% from last month, but still too high in their view to lift the health measure.

The directed health measure was put in place August 26th, requiring that all individuals two and older wear masks while indoors.
