MILFORD, Neb. -- Authorities say no one was injured after shots were fired during a traffic stop in southeastern Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a Milford Police officer was checking out a car parked at Super Storage in Milford early Thursday morning.

Authorities say the occupants were uncooperative and the driver accelerated and fled as the officer was standing in front of the car.

NSP says the officer shot at the car, which later stopped because of a flat tire. The driver, 21-year-old Tyrez Ashley, of Missouri, was arrested for reckless driving, avoiding arrest, and criminal impersonation.

No injuries were reported.
