Nebraskans on alert for severe weather

It's already been a busy month for severe weather and forecasters say the the next two days could bring more to Nebraska.

NEBRASKA - It's already been a busy month for severe weather and forecasters say the the next two days could bring more to Nebraska.

The National Weather Service says scattered thunderstorms are likely by late this afternoon in central Nebraska. Forecasters say the storms are expected to be severe with large hail, damaging wind, and possibly isolated tornadoes, particularly in towns like Thedford, Ainsworth, and Spencer.

In addition, heavy rain is possible. Forecasters say some portions of north central Nebraska could see up to four inches of rainfall.

Custer County has been placed in a flood watch through Tuesday morning.

Forecasters say southeast Nebraska could see severe thunderstorms and hail Tuesday evening.
