BEATRICE – A note found at Freeman High School in Adams, was investigated by Gage County law officers, but deputies say there was no imminent threat to the school or its students.

Authorities say they responded to a call from Freeman Administrators about the note, found by a teacher on November 25th…but believed to have been written more than two weeks earlier.

Gage County Sheriff’s Officers did not detail what the note said, but cited the student who had created it, for disturbing the peace.  The female student was suspended from school and an alleged victim and her parent were notified that they were not considered to be in any danger.

Although written two weeks ago, the note had remained in the student’s possession and was discovered by staff on an unrelated matter.
