Anna Dorn, 91, of Beatrice died at her home on Friday morning, November 8, 2019. She was born October 17, 1928 at rural Pickrell and was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell by Pastor J.B. Reents. She attended Olney Country School. She married Raymond Dorn on July 6, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm near Holmesville until 1950, then moved to a farm northeast of Beatrice, in 1957 they moved to a farm northeast of Pickrell and in 1979 they moved to Beatrice. She worked at McDonalds for a time in 1979. She was a receptionist at Fox Funeral Home in Beatrice from 1980 to 2018. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell and Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She was currently a member of Christ Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell where she was in the Senior Choir, Quilting group and Ladies Aid. She was also a member of Thrifty Workers Extension Club. She enjoyed writing letters and quilting.

Survivors include two sons, Orville (Sondra) Dorn of Lincoln and Merle (Penny) Dorn of Kensington, Kansas; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janetta Frerichs of Blue Springs, Joanne Ramsey of Wilber and Ida Lohmeyer of Beatrice; two sisters-in-law, Margaret (Garold) Zimmerman and Connie Dorn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marie Bruns Schuster; her husband, Raymond, who died January 1, 2019; daughter-in-law, Pam Dorn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Christ Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell with Pastor Heather Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery of rural Pickrell. A family prayer service will be held 10:15 A.M. Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Christ Lutheran Church. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and at the church one hour preceding the services on Wednesday.
