Kenneth Dean Wolfe was born to Elmer & Frances Fern (Sargent) Wolfe on July 18, 1936 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  The family moved to Alexandria, Nebraska in 1943.  Kenneth attended school in Alexandria and graduated with the class of 1954.

Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Navy in July of 1954 and attended boot camp at San Diego, California.  He trained to be a Radar man and served on board the LSD Comstock.  He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy on July 11, 1957.

Kenneth married the love of his life, Linda Harrold on July 28, 1957.  This union was blessed with 4 children; Scott, Dwayne, Kevin and Renee.

Kenneth worked 4 years with his father-in-law, Wilber Harrold in the automotive service station in Alexandria.  In 1961, he began a career in the automotive parts business in Fairbury, Nebraska which lasted over 40 years, retiring in 2003.

Kenneth volunteered in his community by serving on the Alexandria Fire department and Village Board.  He was an active member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder and Deacon numerous times. 

Preceding him in death were his parents and his in-laws, Wilber and Alberta Harrold, sisters Doris Wolfe and Helen Hudson, brothers Sherman & Duane (as an infant) and brother-in-law Joe Ketchmark.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Linda, children Scott (Joy) Wolfe, Dwayne (Sherrill) Wolfe, Kevin (Caylene) Wolfe and Renee Wolfe, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, brother Dale (Margarite) Wolfe, sister Barbara (Gene) Waugh, brother-in-law Jim (Mary Beth) Harrold, sister-in-law Carla Ketchmark and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial service is October 2, 2019 at the Alexandria Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m.  The family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kenneth Dean Wolfe memorial fund.  Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
