A member of the Air Force stationed at Offutt is charged with child sex assault

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A member of the Air Force stationed at Offutt is charged with child sex assault.

Austin Lyle, 30, made his first appearance before a judge Monday morning. He was charged with 1st-degree sexual assault of a child in connection with an alleged incident in Bellevue last week.

A judge set Lyle’s bond at $1 million. He faces 20 years to life in prison if convicted.

The Air Force says leadership at Offutt is aware of the situation.

Lyle is due in court again in April.
