FAIRBURY, Neb. — Two Fairbury residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies served a search warrant at approximately 3:45 p.m. Jan. 21 at a home in the 600 block of Seventh Street, which is located across from the Library in Fairbury. The warrant stemmed from an investigation into the residence and its occupants.

Authorities arrested 27-year-old Caitlyn Grable and 25-year-old Zachary Roland, both of Fairbury, at the residence. Both were transported to and booked into the Jefferson County Jail.

Grable was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance near a school, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, and possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony.

Roland was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation remains ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
