Former MLB talent, Wymore native Jake Diekman named head coach at Lincoln Christian

A former MLB talent from southeast Nebraska is taking on a new adventure in retirement.

LINCOLN, Neb. - A former MLB talent from southeast Nebraska is taking on a new adventure in retirement.

Wymore native Jake Diekman spent 12 seasons in the MLB and is now taking on the role of Head Coach at Lincoln Christian.

During his time in the MLB, Diekman played for nine different teams and recorded a career ERA of 3.91 and 764 strikeouts.
