Emmett Johnson makes his decision, declares for the NFL Draft

LINCOLN, Neb.- After a dominant redshirt junior year, Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson has declared for the NFL Draft.
In a social media post to his X and Instagram accounts, the Big Ten Running Back of the Year announced he is entering the 2026 draft.
Johnson rushed for 1,451 yards, reached the end zone 12 times and added 370 receiving yards and three touchdown catches.
He thanked a list of people, including coaches and teammates, but saved his appreciation for Cornhuskers fans for the end of his post.
“To Nebraska fans, the best in college football, your unwavering support has meant the world to me. After much prayer and reflection, I am officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. Thank you, Nebraska,” Johnson wrote.
The NFL Draft will start on Thursday April 23rd, 2026.
