LINCOLN, Neb. - Less than 72 hours after Nebraska fell to Iowa 40-16 to cap off a 7-5 regular season, the Huskers made significant coaching change.

After two years with the program, and one year leading the Blackshirts, Defensive Coordinator John Butler has been relieved of his duties.

Nebraska's defense currently ranks 23rd overall, anchored by a Top 5 pass defense, but the Huskers run defense puts them 95th in the nation allowing over 170 yards per game.

The Huskers allowed nine games of +100 yards rushing and four games of over +200 yards rushing.

Per Matt Rhule, Phil Snow will take over as interim defensive coordinator for Nebraska's upcoming bowl game.
