Beatrice woman arrested for trespassing, at multiple hotels

BEATRICE, Neb. - A Beatrice woman was taken into custody Friday morning after police say she was found on the property of two hotels from which she had previously trespassed.
According to the Beatrice Police Department, an officer on patrol around 7:35 a.m. Friday morning spotted an individual walking near the entrance road to the Holiday Inn Express and MyPlace Hotel. The officer recognized the woman as Melissa Willaman, who had previoulsy been issued trespass notices for both locations.
Police followed Willaman into the MyPlace parking lot and saw her discard an item in an exterior trash can. After confirming her identity, the officer stopped and made contact. Willaman was reminded of the active trespass orders and placed under arrest for second-degree trespassing. She was transported to the Gage County Detention Center without incident.
On November 12, Willaman was issued a trespass notice from both hotels, which police say she acknowledged and signed. The following day, staff reported her on the premises again, and she was issued a citation for trespassing. A second violation was reported on November 18, resulting in another citation.
Authorities say the latest arrest stems from a continued pattern of returning to the properties despite repeated warnings.
