Frager, Lawrence lead Huskers to opening night win over West Georgia

LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska Men's Basketball was able to shake off a slow start to knock off West Georgia 86-53 on Monday night. 

The Huskers trailed for much of the first half and started the night 1-10 from long range, but began the second half on an 18-2 run. 

Nebraska was led in scoring by redshirt freshman Braden Frager who scored 22 points in 22 minutes, while going 8-11 from the floor. In addition, Jamarques Lawrence recorded 18 points in his return debut. 

The win is head coach Fred Hoiberg's 200th collegiate victory, while Frager's 22 points is the third most in a Nebraska freshman debut in the last 50 years. 

Nebraska returns to action Saturday to host Florida International.
