Swing 365 golf simulator set to open at Big Blue Bike Company
BEATRICE, Neb. - In a town where golf is main attraction, the season wont have to end, even though the warm weather may.
A Swing 365 simulator is coming to Beatrice.
“I’ve just seen it as a way to give the golfers something to use in the offseason and even in the summer when it’s really hot… A nice climate controlled environment,”
Eric Kielian is the owner of the Big Blue Bike Company, but soon, he’ll have golfers and bikers making their way to the store. Kielian says the idea for the sim came when he saw one in Omaha. A few phone calls later and construction began.
“A lot of just meeting with them preliminary about how to get one in my existing space instead of a new building,” Kielian said. “That was all done through Full Swing. A lot of meetings, drawings, measuring and building.”
Varying levels of memberships can be purchased online with 24/7 in and out access for members. Simulator installation is set for Nov. 17 with opening dates hopefully later that week.
Beatrice is the smallest town in Nebraska to have a Swing 365 sim, but the demand is expected to be high.
“Talking with Swing’s CEO, he came down, saw the building and the space and thought it would work really well,” Kielian said. “Even with the lower population, he thought there’d be enough demand here.”
