SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA - A Nebraska State Patrol vehicle was side-swiped while providing roadside assistance in southeast Nebraska.

In a social media post by the NSP’s Troop H, troopers reported that one of their cruisers was struck by a van while the trooper was protecting a tow truck that was towing a vehicle.

The incident occurred on Highway 81 near the Nebraska/Kansas border. NSP noted that the trooper was okay after the incident, but urges motorists to slow down and move over when seeing red, blue, or amber flashing lights along the road.
