LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska Men’s Basketball has accepted an invitation to the College Basketball crown, taking on Arizona State.

The tournament is set for Mar. 31-Apr. 6 in Las Vegas, NV. After a 17-14 season, the Huskers did not receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Nebraska lost their last 5 games of the season and missed the Big Ten Tournament which ultimately cost them a spot in March Madness.

After Nebraska's senior day loss to Iowa, Head Coach Fred Hoiberg was adamant about playing again in the postseason.

"It kills me to know we won't be able to go to Indy and extend this thing, that said, I think we will play in the postseason," Hoiberg said. "Excited to still be around this group and hopefully we go out there and play well in whatever tournament we're in."

The trip to Vegas means the careers of seniors Juwan Gary and Brice Williams aren't over yet, despite Nebraska not qualifying for the Big Ten Tournament.
