Doane's Chaney named GPAC MBB Defensive Player of the Week

Doane junior guard Casen Chaney was named the GPAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 1, the conference announced this week.

Doane junior guard Casen Chaney was named the GPAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of November 26-December 1, the conference announced this week.

Defensive – Casen Chaney, Doane University (Guard)

Casen Chaney of Doane University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Chaney, a junior from Placerville, California, recorded seven steals in Doane's win over Tabor, one off the single-game school record. He helped Doane rally for a road win in Hillsboro as he added 18 points on the offensive end of the court.

Chaney is the second Tiger to earn this weekly award from the conference this season. The Tigers are 5-3 and will travel for an exhibition game against Sioux Falls this weekend before resuming conference play next week.
