LINCOLN, NEB. - The Nebraska State Patrol arrested nearly three dozen under the influence motorists in the first stretch of Nebraska Football home games.

NSP says troopers throughout Nebraska made 35 arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol on game days. Ten of those arrests occurred in Lancaster County in the hours surrounding a Husker football game.

“We’re thankful that the vast majority of fans do their part to keep roads safe and make sure to have a sober driver,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “Whether it’s game day or any other day, always make plans to drive sober if your event involves alcohol.

The Huskers are on the road this Saturday visiting Purdue. The next Husker home game is Oct. 5 when Nebraska hosts Rutgers.
