North entrances to new Beatrice Elementary now open
Completion of roundabout and work on 33rd Street, next in line
BEATRICE – Parents bringing their children to the new Beatrice Elementary School and picking them up after school, can now use the north-side entrances, beginning Tuesday. Paving work was finished on the first phase of Lincoln Street construction prior to the Labor Day Holiday.
That means traffic can use the north-side entrances to the school, as work shifts to the second phase of the project…completing a roundabout at 33rd and Lincoln and resurfacing work on 33rd Street, south of that intersection.
The first phase completion also opened both entrances to Christ Community Church in that area.
City officials say a bump on Lincoln Street at the west edge of the first phase will be taken out when the third phase of construction begins. That is a section of Lincoln Street from the church to the west.
