North entrances to new Beatrice Elementary now open

BEATRICE – Parents bringing their children to the new Beatrice Elementary School and picking them up after school, can now use the north-side entrances, beginning Tuesday.   Paving work was finished on the first phase of Lincoln Street construction prior to the Labor Day Holiday.  

That means traffic can use the north-side entrances to the school, as work shifts to the second phase of the project…completing a roundabout at 33^rd and Lincoln and resurfacing work on  33^rd Street, south of that intersection.

The first phase completion also opened both entrances to Christ Community Church in that area. 

City officials say a bump on Lincoln Street at the west edge of the first phase will be taken out when the third phase of construction begins.  That is a section of Lincoln Street from the church to the west.
