Crete pulls reverse sweep, tops Lady Orange in five sets

BEATRICE, NEB. - The Crete Cardinals topped Beatrice in the 2024 season opener on Thursday, spoiling new Lady Orange head coach Cassie Eickhoff's first win bid. 

Beatrice won the first two sets 25-23, 25-18 and never trailed in set two. Crete came to life in the second half of the match winning sets three and four 25-20 and 25-23. 

In set five, it was Crete taking the win 15-12. 

Beatrice falls to 0-1 on the year and visits Lincoln Northwest on Saturday.
