BEATRICE, NEB. - Extreme heat has arrived in Nebraska. 

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures are expected to reach the lower triple digits on Monday in much of Nebraska, with afternoon heat indexes as high as 110 degrees possible.

KWBE and Ol' Red 99.5 listening area counties including Gage, Lancaster, Jefferson, Saline, Thayer, Fillmore, Pawnee, and Johnson will enter a heat advisory at 1:00 p.m. 

NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluid and taking precautions when outdoors.
