Search warrant in Fairbury leads to multiple arrests Saturday

Numerous items of contraband were discovered during a narcotics search warrant executed in Fairbury on Saturday.

FAIRBURY, Neb. -- Numerous items of contraband were discovered during a narcotics search warrant executed in Fairbury on Saturday.

At 7:11 a.m. on Saturday, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at 212 7th Street in Fairbury. The warrant was issued as part of a narcotics investigation into the occupants of the residence and the property. During the search, authorities seized numerous contraband items and apprehended three individuals inside the residence.

The individuals, identified as 57-year-old Ronald John, 62-year-old Blanche Cain and 54-year-old Troy John, were arrested. They were transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked on charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute controlled substance, unlawful acts relating to drugs, possession of deadly weapon by a prohibited person and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
