Sterling native Jenna Pelchat selected as Stretch Across Nebraska winner

STERLING, NEB - Medica and News Channel Nebraska are encouraging good health and well-being across the state with Stretch Across Nebraska.  The program is set up for people of all ages to send in a video or photo of their healthy activity and they could win a donation made, in their name, of $500 to the school of their choice.  

Sterling native Jenna Pelchat is the most recent winner. 

Pelchat submitted a video of her and her co-workers doing the worm and she encourages everyone to get out and exercise.  

"Our bodies aren't made to sit aorund," Pelchat said. "It's important for our body tissues and our overall lifestyles."

Pelchat will be donating the funds to Johnson-Brock Public Schools. 

"Chose Johnson-Brock because the team who submitted the video was the Johnson County Hospital Rehab Department, and the girl who came up with the idea, her kids go to Johnson-Brock."
