BEATRICE, Neb - A Southeast Nebraska bowling alley is under new ownership.

The 10 Pinz Fun Center in east Beatrice sits at 2223 Court St and has made some significant changes. Chris Bell and his wife Heidi recently took over as new owners. Bell tells NCN it was important for he and his wife to get this right, because he simply thinks there should be more to do east of town.

“In Beatrice you have places like the movie theater which is downtown… An amazing place. There’s the mini golf place by Arby’s which is great, we needed something east of town for kid stop do.”

The Bell’s recently signed on the new building and have made a number of additions and changes. Bowling balls and lanes may soon be Husker themed, a liquor license is in the works, and they’ve made major improvements to the arcade area. They’ve added the world’s largest pac man machine, as well as a number of adult games.

When it comes to renovations, Bell worked with nearly all local suppliers.

“Small businesses need to help small businesses to grow agains the chain stores,” Bell said. “Ace Hardware, Mead Lumber, Sherwin Williams… They’ve all helped us with paint. Lammel Plumbing put in a brand new sewer system all the way from the bathroom to the kitchen.”

As the Bell’s embark on this new adventure, Chris talked about where he wants 10 Pins Fun Center to be one year in.

“I want it to be full from 11:30 in the morning to 10 o’clock at night,” Bell said. “I don’t want any drama, when you walk into this place, I want you to feel like you’re walking on cloud nine.”
