BEATRICE – A two-vehicle crash in Marshall County, Kansas Wednesday sent three people to hospitals….all with suspected serious injuries.  

The Kansas Highway Patrol said the collision happened at the junction of U.S. Highway 36 and Kansas 99, one-and-a-half miles south of Beattie…or nine miles east of Marysville.   

Authorities say a southbound 2023 Toyota Rav4 driven by 57-year-old Ning Wang, of Stillwater Oklahoma…allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign.  The sport utility vehicle entered onto U.S. 36, where it was struck on the passenger side by an eastbound 2023 Dodge Ram pickup.  The truck was driven by 72-year-old Daniel Broxterman, of Seneca, Kansas. 

The Toyota ended up in the southeast ditch at the intersection, while the Ram pickup came to rest in the north ditch off U.S. 36. The driver of the SUV, Wang, was transported to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.  A passenger, 76-year-old Naiqian Zhang, of Manhattan, Kansas…was also taken to Bryan West. 

The KHP says Broxterman was transported to Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca. 

All three people injured were using safety restraints, at the time of the crash….11:50 a.m.
