Car, pickup and semitrailer collide near center of downtown Beatrice

BEATRICE – A three vehicle minor collision at the center of downtown Beatrice happened just after one p-m, Monday……no significant injuries.
"We evaluated one person, I believe was the occupant of the car. But, I don't think we're going to be transporting her, so everybody else in the pickup and the semi, were okay."
Beatrice Fire and Rescue Chief Brian Daake says all three vehicles involved in the collision were traveling south. A car, a pickup and a semi towing a flatbed with a lift, were involved in the accident….a short distance north of 6th and Court.
There were no immediate details on the cause of the collision. One northbound lane on Sixth Street, or Highway 77 remained open. Southbound traffic was diverted west on Ella Street while police and EMS were on the scene.
All fire and rescue units left the scene in about 25 minutes.
