Authorities arrest California man for almost 400 lbs. of marijauana

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Authorities arrested a 40-year-old California man for almost 400 lbs. of marijuana on Wednesday.
Around 1 p.m., Lancaster County Sheriff's Office Capt. Tommy Trotter said that members of the Criminal Interdiction Task Force stopped Michael Forester for a traffic infraction near Highway 77 and Rosa Parks Way.
Authorities said that Forester was the only person in the vehicle.
Trotter said that responding officer smelled a marijuana odor, and this led to a probable cause search.
During the search, Trotter said the officer found 383 pounds of raw marijuana, 16 pounds of THC wax, and 1 pound of THC powder.
Officials said that a fully loaded handgun was also found.
Forester was lodged at the Lancaster County Corrections for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, evading the drug tax, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
LSO said this is the second arrest in two weeks where they have arrested someone with several hundred pounds of marijuana.
