LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man was arrested in Lincoln after he reportedly took money out of a bar's register.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to Risky's Sports Bar, 4680 Leighton Ave., around 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday for a reported robbery.

Officers said they were told that a man had taken money from the register and other customers at the bar restrained him. Officers reportedly took the man into custody when they arrived.

According to authorities, the man was 32-year-old Delmer Dormer. Dormer reportedly told the officers a fake name and date of birth when they initially asked him.

Officials said Dormer had an active felony arrest warrant. He reportedly tried to flee the police after they found out his actual name.

LPD said they caught Dormer, who only made it a short distance from them, and took him to the ground. Dormer was reportedly hurt from the take down, receiving an injury over his eye, and was taken to a nearby hospital.

According to authorities, Dormer was medically cleared and lodged in jail. He was charged for felony theft by unlawful taking and felony attempt escape, along with his active warrant.
