Lincoln man cited after reportedly trespassing at middle school
A man was cited after he reportedly trespassed at a middle school in Lincoln.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man was cited after he reportedly trespassed at a middle school in Lincoln.
The Lincoln Police Department said Irving Middle School staff contacted their School Resource Officer (SRO) and reported that a man had came into the school at 7:45 a.m. on Monday.
Officials said the man reportedly had lethargic behavior and the staff believed he may have been under the influence of an unknown substance. The man then left the school and got into his vehicle.
According to authorities, the man drove through the parking lot and hit a parked vehicle. He then reportedly continued south across Van Dorn St. and hit a fence.
LPD said the man was 20-years-old and was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening medical concerns. He was reportedly released to the hospital staff after being cited for trespassing, DUI, negligent driving, no seatbelt and no insurance.
