Snow system crawls across northern Kansas, southern Nebraska
Steady, light snow makes roads sliushy

BEATRICE – Areas of southeast Nebraska receive two to three inches of snow Saturday afternoon. The lack of wind allowed travel to continue, but snow made area roads slushy.
A large mass of snow crept into Nebraska from northern Kansas. Some areas of north-central Kansas received as much of six to eight inches of snow from the system.
Counties in the southeast corner of Nebraska along with northern Kansas were included in a winter weather advisory through early Sunday morning.
Temperatures remained at or just below the freezing mark through Saturday afternoon. The snow came on the heels of a major system that dumped as much as 23 inches of snow across parts of central Nebraska.
With additional snow overnight late Saturday into Sunday, some areas around Fairbury and Daykin reached a total of four inches. A similar amount was reported near Table Rock, and at Summerfield, Kansas, along the state line.
Morrowville, Kansas reported six inches of snow, with five inches over the weekend at Blue Rapids, Greenleaf, Linn and Palmer.
