Three injured in rollover, north of Beatrice

Injuries not considered life-threatening, in Sunday afternoon mishap

BEATRICE – Three people were taken to a hospital following a one-vehicle rollover accident north of Beatrice, Sunday afternoon.

The Nebraska State Patrol investigating the accident, which occurred on the northbound side of the four-lane, divided U.S. Highway 77.   

The accident happened near the intersection of U.S. 77 and Cherry Road, about six miles north of Beatrice.   It wasn’t immediately clear which direction the car was traveling at the time of the accident.

The accident sent Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Pickrell Fire personnel to the scene, at about 3:25 p.m.   A Beatrice Fire and Rescue Captain says the three people transported to Beatrice Community Hospital had non-life-threatening injuries.  

Southeast Communications Dispatch reported there were four occupants and all were out of the vehicle, prior to EMS personnel arriving.

Identities were not immediately available.   Northbound traffic was directed by officers past the accident scene.
