LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department took a man into custody after he reportedly pulled a gun out during an argument.

LPD said police were sent to the 900 block of Oak St. around 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday for a weapons complaint. The caller reportedly told police that a man had pulled a gun on her fiancé while they were inside their hotel room.

Officers said they talked with the 51-year-old male victim. He reportedly told them that he and 25-year-old Jacob Shoemaker were having a verbal argument about cigars when Shoemaker allegedly pointed, what the victim believed to be, a black handgun at him.

According to authorities, Shoemaker cooperated with verbal commands from the police to exit the hotel room and was then taken into custody. Shoemaker was transported to jail where he was lodged for terroristic threats and the reported handgun was found to be a realistic looking BB gun.
